It will be the first game in 10 days for Tulane, which downed Mississippi State 59-54 last time out Dec. 6. Savannah State is 3-8 with Division I wins over Winthrop and Cleveland State.

Houston, which has played just five games entering Tuesday, plays the first of two in as many nights and five in eight days when the Cougars host crosstown foe Houston Baptist. The 4-1 Cougars look for their third consecutive victory against a 4-3 Huskies team with one Division I win, a 58-55 victory over Rice Dec. 3. The Cougars hold an 11-0 advantage in the all-time series, but the programs have not squared off since 1996. Houston will follow Tuesday’s game with a matchup against Arkansas-Pine Bluff Wednesday.
