Tulane, which battled No. 13/13 Washington to the wire Monday in Seattle, heads across the country to face another top-25 team as the Green Wave battles No. 17/19 St. John’s at the Brooklyn Hoops Winter Festival at Barclays Center. Tulane saw its nine-game winning streak snapped against Washington as the Green Wave enters at 9-2.
UConn will entertain Central Connecticut Sunday at the XL Center as the Huskies look to start another streak of wins against in-state opponents. UConn had won 68 straight against teams from the Nutmeg State before Yale ended the run earlier this season.
East Carolina plays its final nonconference game of the season as the Pirates welcome UNC Greensboro to Minges Coliseum. The Pirates have won two of their last three games to take a 6-6 record into Sunday’s contest.
USF wraps up nonconference play with a visit from Bowling Green. The Bulls snapped a five-game slide with a win against Southeastern Louisiana Tuesday and stand at 6-6 overall.
Houston plays Mississippi Valley State as the Cougars look to improve to 7-4 on the year. Houston gained a split of its two games at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic earlier this week, including a win against Texas Tech in the consolation game.
Temple, which scored a win against No. 10 Kansas in its most recent outing, looks for its third straight win as the Owls host Delaware State in their nonconference finale. Temple is 5-0 at the Liacouras Center this season and 175-55 all-time on their home floor.
