No. 11/9 Louisville pulled to within a game of first place in the American Athletic Conference standings as the Cardinals picked up their fifth straight win with an 80-54 victory against USF Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center.
 
G Russ Smith led four Cardinal players in double figures with 19 points, and Louisville used 20 turnovers and 17 offensive rebounds to pick up extra possessions that led to 34-of-71 shooting for the game.
 
No. 7/9 Cincinnati, which sits in first place in the standings, looks to cushion its lead Wednesday as the Bearcats visit UCF (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU). It will be just the third meeting between the schools as Cincinnati looks to improve to 3-0 all-time against the Knights.
 
Wednesday’s nightcap has SMU at home against Houston at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNews. The Mustangs are 13-0 at home this season, including a 7-0 mark in the renovated Moody Coliseum, which will be sold out for Wednesday’s game.
