PALM COAST, Fla. – A pair of UCF golfers are among individuals at the top of the leaderboard Monday and the Knights hold a four-shot lead in the team standings following the second day of competition at the 2014 American Women’s Golf Championship at Hammock Beach Resort.
The final round of the 2014 American Women’s Golf Championship will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m. eastern. An awards ceremony and trophy presentation will take place shortly following the conclusion of the final round.
UCF shot 305 in the second round and currently leads the field with a two-round 36-over-par total of 612 (307-305). Louisville is the runner-up and shot a second-round best 302 to finish 616 (314-302, +40), while SMU is in third place with a 45-over-par 621 (315-306).
SMU’s Jenny Haglund (76-71) currently leads the individual race with a three-over-par score of 147. UCF’s Ashley Holder is in second place at six-over-par 150 (76-74) while five players are tied for third. Memphis’ Ashley Kees (81-71), Houston’s Raegan Bremer (78-74), UCF’s Monifa Sealy (77-75) and Louisville’s Laura Restrepo (78-74) and Emily Haas (75-77) round out the third-place ties at eight-over-par scores of 152.
