The American Today - Pair of Midday Showdowns on Saturday Schedule

Saturday’s schedule lists two American Athletic Conference games.

UConn hosts Cincinnati in an 11 a.m. ET matchup at the XL Center in Hartford (ESPN2). The game pairs last year’s American Athletic Conference regular-season champion against the 2014 NCAA champion. UConn took two of the three meetings against Cincinnati last year, including a 51-45 decision in Hartford in the regular season.

Temple entertains Tulsa at the Liacouras Center in a matchup of two of the hottest teams in The American (3 p.m. ET, ESPNews). Temple has won six straight overall, is 8-0 at home this season and is off to a 3-0 start in league play. The Golden Hurricane has wonfour in a row and comes to Philadelphia with an early 2-0 mark in the conference. Tulsa G Shaquille Harrison has averaged 22.0 points in the last six games and leads The American with a 20.0 average in conference games.
