Temple improved to 3-0 in American Athletic Conference play with a 64-56 win at Tulane Wednesday night in the conference’s lone game.
Four Owls were in double figures in the win, led by 15 from G Quenton DeCosey and 14 each from G Will Cummings and G Jesse Morgan. F Jaylen Bond chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds for Temple, which improved to 12-4 overall with its sixth straight win. G Jay Hook led the Green Wave with 14 points, while G Jonathan Stark had 12 assists. Tulane dropped to 11-4 overall and 2-1 in The American in the defeat.
There is one game Thursday in The American as Memphis travels to Dallas to take on SMU. The Mustangs are 10-4 and 1-1 in The American after having an eight-game winning streak snapped by Cincinnati Saturday. For the Tigers – 8-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play – it is the first true road game of the season. Memphis played 10 of its first 13 games at FedEx Forum, along with two games in Las Vegas and one in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
