American Teams Continue to Climb Up National Polls




American teams continued their climb up the national college football polls.

The undefeated trio of Memphis, Houston and Temple remain in the Top 25 of both the USA Today Amway Coaches’ Poll and Associated Press Poll.

Memphis, coming off a Friday night win in Tulsa moved up one spot to No. 16 in both the coaches’ and AP Top 25.

Houston took care of UCF, 59-10, Saturday and  moved up three spaces in the coaches’ poll to No. 19. The Cougars checked in at No. 18 in the AP Poll.

Temple, who defeated East Carolina Thursday night, held steady at No. 22 in the coaches’ poll and moved up one spot to No. 21 in the AP poll.

Navy also continues to receive votes in the coaches' poll.

All four teams will be in action Saturday: Navy hosts USF, Memphis hosts Tulane, Houston steps out of conference play against Vanderbilt and Temple welcomes Notre Dame to Lincoln Financial Field in a primetime Saturday night clash on ABC.
