The American Today: UCF and East Carolina Secured Home Wins on Friday

East Carolina 84, Presbyterian 57
East Carolina improved to 4-0 with an 84-57 win over Presbyterian on Friday afternoon. Senior Jada Payne recorded her third double-double of the season with 26 points, 10 rebounds to go with five assists. Marina Laramie added 16 points and six rebounds, while Khadidja Toure chipped in a career-high 14 points, five boards and three steals.
 
UCF 93, Florida A&M 55
Seven UCF players scored in double-figures as the Knights defeated Florida A&M, 93-55.  Junior Zykira Lewis led the team with a game-high 15 points and a career-best five assists while sophomore Aliyah Gregory filled the stat sheet with 10 points and career highs in rebounds (8) and assists (8). All 10 Knights who played in the contest scored a point.
 
Oral Roberts 59, Tulsa 53
Tulsa fell to Oral Roberts, 59-53, at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Friday. Freshman Crystal Polk had a game-high 13 points while senior Kelsee Grovey added 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. Ashley Clark pulled in a team-high nine rebounds for the Golden Hurricane.
