Highlights

- As part of the Las Vegas Invitational, East Carolina (2-2) traveled to RV/NR San Diego State where the team fell to the Aztecs, 79-54. The Pirates were led by sophomore Lance Tejada, who produced 11 points off the bench, as he reached double figures for the first time this season. Senior Michael Zangari and sophomore B.J. Tyson added nine points each. Tyson also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

- Memphis (2-2) lost to UT-Arlington, 68-64, in the Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational matchup at FedExForum. Senior Ricky Tarrant Jr. tallied a season-high 21 points for the Tigers, as he went 12-for-12 from the free-throw line. Junior Avery Woodson followed with 11 points. Three Memphis players also recorded double-digit rebounding totals. Shaq Goodwin had a game-high 19 rebounds and put up eight points. Trahson Burrell grabbed 12 boards while adding seven points, and Dedric Lawson registered 10 rebounds and eight points.

- Tulsa (4-1) suffered its first loss of the season against South Carolina, 83-75, in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam finals. Senior Shaquille Harrison, who has led Tulsa in scoring the past four games, finished with a team-high 20 points with six rebounds.Harrison was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament team after averaging 25 points over the three tournament games. Senior James Woodard added 18 points, three rebounds and two steals in the championship game.
