- No. 24/24 Cincinnati (6-0) beat Nebraska 65-61 on Friday, in the Barclays Center Classic semifinals held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Junior Troy Caupain led the Bearcats with 17 points while senior Shaq Thomas added 14 points, and senior Octavius Ellis had 12 points with a team-high nine rebounds. Cincinnati outrebounded Nebraska, 39-29. With the win the Bearcats advanced to the Barclays Center Classic championship game, and will face RV/RV George Washington on Saturday.
- East Carolina (3-3) ended its three-game losing streak with a 93-73 victory over Stetson in the team's final game of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena. Three Pirates finished with double-digit points, with sophomore B.J. Tyson scoring a team-high 22 points with five rebounds and four steals. Junior Caleb White and freshman Kentrell Barkley each added 14 points, while Barkley grabbed eight rebounds.
- Memphis (3-2) registered an 81-76 overtime win against Ohio State at AmericanAirlines Arena, as part of the HoopsHall Miami Invitational. Senior forward Shaq Goodwin scored his 1,000th career point in the first half, becoming the 50th player in program history to accomplish the feat. Goodwin tied his career high with 23 points, as he sank 7-of-10 shots from the field and all nine of his free throws. Freshman Dedric Lawson had a double-double, scoring 16-points and pulling down 10 rebounds in the win. Ricky Tarrant Jr. also finished with 16 points and Avery Woodson added 11 for the Tigers.
- Sophomore Dylan Osetkowski had a last-second shot that helped boost Tulane (3-3) past Stephen F. Austin, 60-59 in the Music City Challenge. Freshman Kain Harris missed a shot with 21 seconds remaining, but Osetkowski got possession of the loose ball and put up a shot to give the Green Wave a one-point advantage with 16 seconds left on the clock. Harris and senior Louis Dabney each had 14 points for Tulane in the win. Jernard Jarreau narrowly missed a double-double, adding nine points and 10 rebounds. The Green Wave came back from a 26-point first-half deficit, marking the largest deficit the team has overcome to win in the past two seasons.
- No. 18/21 UConn (4-2) fell to Gonzaga, 73-70 in the teams' Battle 4 Atlantis matchup. The Bulldogs led by as many as 21 points in the second half, but the Huskies rallied to come within one point in the game's closing minutes. Shonn Miller led UConn with 19 points, while sophomore Daniel Hamilton finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Rodney Purvis and Sam Cassell Jr. also had double-digit points for the Huskies, with Purvis scoring 12 and Cassell Jr. adding 10. UConn held a 37-36 edge in rebounds over the Bulldogs.
- USF (1-5) suffered an 84-63 loss to No. 1/1 Kentucky in the Hoophall Miami Invitational. Three players scored in double figures for the Bulls, including freshman guard Jahmal McMurray with 13 points and senior Jaleel Cousins and junior forward Chris Perry with 12 points each. Perry also grabbed a game-high eight boards. USF shot 60 percent from the field in the second half and scored 42 points.
