PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has announced winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for games ending Nov. 29.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Troy Caupain • Jr. • G • Cincinnati
Caupain averaged a team-high 16.0 points with eight 3-pointers, seven assists and four steals in 3-0 week for the 24th ranked Bearcats. He was named to the Barclays Center Classic All-Tournament Team and led Cincinnati to the tournament crown. Caupain had the go-ahead 3-point play with less than two minutes remaining vs. RV/RV George Washington in the championship game to give Cincinnati the lead for good.

Dedric Lawson • Fr. • G/F • Memphis
Lawson averaged a double-double for the week with 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for Memphis. The freshman pulled down an even 10 rebounds in each of his two games during the week and scored 16 points in a win over Ohio State in the Hoophall Miami Invitational. Lawson added seven assists, five blocked shots, and three steals over the two games.

Averaged a double-double with 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game last week, his 19 rebounds against UT Arlington are the second-most in a single game in American Athletic Conference history
Jaleel Cousins • Sr. • C • USF
Posted two double-doubles in 2-1 week for USF, tied career-high with 12 boards vs. Albany and had a career-high five steals vs. Savannah State
Louis Dabney • Sr. • G • Tulane
Helped Tulane to a 2-1 week and was named to Music City Challenge All-Tournament team, had 16 pts against Mercer and 14 in a comeback win over Stephen F. Austin
