12 Plays of Christmas: Borders Dives For The Out

Editor's Note: Heading into the Holiday Season and the end of 2015 we thought it would be nice to look back at some of the best plays from the past year. We scoured through lots of video footage and came up with our "12 Plays of Christmas". Every day we will reveal a new play that we consider to be one of our best from the year. The list will end with play number 1 on Christmas Eve.

The 2015 American Baseball Championship was full of highlight plays and big moments. It started out with a bang in the first of 13 games in the tournament. No. 4 USF was taking on No. 5 Memphis in what turned out to be a high scoring affair as the Bulls took down the Tigers, 10-6. Both offenses may have been on fire but it was a defensive play that made Sports Center Top 10 that night.

In the top of the fourth with no outs Jake Little came to the plate in hopes of laying down a bunt. In his attempt he popped the pitch up into foul territory toward third base dugout. USF catcher Levi Borders picked up the ball immediately and made a diving basket catch. The play became one of the most memorable moments from the full-of-excitement tournament.
