Editor's Note: Heading into the Holiday Season and the end of 2015 we thought it would be nice to look back at some of the best plays from the past year. We scoured through lots of video footage and came up with our "12 Plays of Christmas". Every day we will reveal a new play that we consider to be one of our best from the year. The list will end with play number 1 on Christmas Eve.

After seeing a 47-game win streak snapped by Stanford earlier in the 2014 season, UConn found itself in an unfamiliar situation as the Huskies hosted No. 1 South Carolina on Feb. 9 at Gampel. Despite a February blizzard, the UConn faithful turned out for the first on-campus sell-out of the season. 
 


Defense was key in the matchup with the Gamecocks and no one played it better than Breanna Stewart, who had five blocks in the contest. The 6'4'' forward complimented her defensive performance with 22 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.
