UCF downed Houston on its final offensive possession for the second time this season, as the Knights provided another thrilling finish in Sunday’s lone game.
B.J. Taylor hit a layup in the game’s final seconds to give UCF a 56-54 win over Houston at CFE Arena. F Staphon Blair and G Brandon Goodwin each had 14 points for the Knights, who completed a season sweep of the Cougars. UCF improves to 11-13 and 4-9 in The American with the win. F Devonta Pollard had 14 points to lead Houston.
The next game in The American is Tuesday when Houston continues its Florida trip against USF. The Bulls were last in action Saturday, falling to Memphis. C Ruben Guerrero had a career-high 17 points against the Tigers.
