Temple punched its ticket to Madison Square Garden with a win over Louisiana Tech in the NIT quarterfinals Wednesday night.
 
G Quenton DeCosey had 21 points and 11 rebounds as Temple downed Louisiana Tech 77-59 in the quarterfinals of the NIT at Liacouras Center. G Jesse Morgan added 17 points and G Will Cummings chipped in 15 for the Owls, who improved to 26-10. Temple advances to the NIT semifinals Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Owls will face Miami (Fla.) (7 p.m., ESPN).
 
After going 9-22 in 2013-14, Temple has improved by 17 wins this season, the largest margin in the nation.
