UNCASVILLE, Conn. – No. 1 seed UConn picked up 93-34 win over No. 9 seeded Cincinnati in quarterfinals action at the 2015 American Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Six Huskies were in double figures in the victory, led by 18 points from senior Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis on 7-of-13 shooting and four 3-pointers. Junior Breanna Stewart added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the victory, while junior Moriah Jefferson tallied 12 points and dished out nine assists.
 
UConn led 49-15 at halftime thanks to eight 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes. Mosqueda-Lewis drained four of the trifectas, while Jefferson knocked down two and Stewart and freshman Kia Nurse each tallied one.

The Huskies shot 66.7-percent (18-of-27) in the second half, leading by as much as 60 in the closing minutes. With the victory, UConn improved to 30-1 on the season.
 
Freshman Makenzie Cann had eight points to lead the Bearcats, while fellow freshman Ana Owens added seven. The Bearcats had advanced to the quarterfinals following a win over No. 8 seed UCF Friday.

 


UConn held a 50-25 advantage on the boards and finished with 26 assists, 10 steals and eight blocks in the win.
 
With the win, UConn advances to face No. 5 seed East Carolina in the first semifinal game Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU/WatchESPN.
