The American Today - East Carolina's Ninth-Inning Rally Sinks NC State

East Carolina tallied a walk-off win over an in-state foe, while UConn, Houston and Memphis were also victorious Tuesday in The American.
 
3B Kirk Morgan brought home RF Eric Tyler with the winning run as East Carolina scored twice in the ninth for a 6-5 win over NC State. LHP Jacob Wolfe held the Wolfpack to two runs over six innings in the win, which lifted the Pirates to 25-16.
 


CF Darien Tubbs homered twice and drove in seven runs as Memphis defeated Belmont 11-6. 1B Tucker Tubbs hit his 11th homer of the year for the Tigers, who improved to 26-12.
 
UConn continued its midweek success with a 13-2 win over UMass. 1B Bobby Melley and C Max McDowell combined for seven RBIs in the win, while RHP Andrew Zapata limited the Minutemen to two runs over seven innings, as the Huskies moved to 26-15.
 
No. 25 Houston picked up a 5-4 win at McNeese State to improve to 27-14. RHP David Longville held the Cowboys to two runs over six innings while CF Ashford Fulmer drove in a pair of runs.
 
Cincinnati fell 6-2 to No. 4/4 Louisville at Marge Schott Stadium. RHP Tristan Hammans threw his second consecutive complete game for the Bearcats, who dropped to 12-27.
 
Tulane was blanked 6-0 by No. 1/1 LSU in Baton Rouge. CF John Gandolfo had the lone hit for the Green Wave, which fell to 24-16.
 
UCF dropped a 9-3 decision to North Florida. C Logan Heiser drove in three runs for the Knights, who fell to 26-16.
