East Carolina won its sixth-straight game - all by a one-run margin - with a 6-5 victory over UCF in Greenville. The Pirates jumped out to a 4-0 first-inning lead, aided by a three-run homer from LF Luke Lowery. ECU improved to 29-16 and 9-6 in The American with the win. DH Tommy Williams doubled three times for UCF, which fell to 26-19 and 5-10 in conference play.
Houston improved to 29-15 and 9-6 in The American with a 6-2 win at USF. RF Kyle Survance drove in three runs, while LHP Seth Romero struck out nine over six innings of two-run ball. 2B Kevin Merrell had four hits for the Bulls, who dropped to 28-16-1 and 9-6 in league play.
Tulane completed a road sweep of Cincinnati with a 9-5 win. 3B Hunter Hope drove in three runs and scored three more for the Green Wave, which moved to 27-16 and 8-7 in The American. RF Ian Happ had a three-hit game for the Bearcats, who fell to 13-30 and 4-11 in The American.
