Houston and East Carolina won to remain tied for first in the conference standings heading into a pivotal series next weekend, while Memphis and USF both captured the final game of their weekend series Sunday.
 
No. 22 Houston grabbed a series win in New Orleans with a 7-1 victory at Tulane. C Ian Rice drove in three runs, while LHP Seth Romero tossed 8.1 innings of one-run ball as the Cougars improved to 32-16 and 11-7 in The American. RF Lex Kaplan had two hits and an RBI for the Green Wave, which dropped to 29-18 and 9-9 in conference play.
 
East Carolina took its second series of the year over UConn with a 5-2 win in Greenville. 2B Charlie Yorgen and 1B Bryce Harman homered for the Pirates, who lifted their record to 31-18 and 11-7 in league action.  SS Aaron Hill drove in both runs for the Huskies, who fell to 29-20 and 8-10 in The American.
 
CF Darien Tubbs executed a walk-off suicide squeeze in the bottom of the ninth as No. 24 Memphis downed Cincinnati 4-3. LF Kane Barrow drove in three runs for the Tigers, who improved to 32-15 and 10-8 in The American. RF Ian Happ hit his 13^th homer of the year for the Bearcats, who dropped to 15-13 and 6-12 in conference play.
 
USF defeated UCF 9-3 in Orlando to take the final game of the first of two series between the in-state foes. SS Kyle Teaf had five hits for the Bulls, while LF Zac Gilcrease was aboard five times and scored three runs. USF improved to 29-18-1 and 10-8 in conference play with the win. SS Dylan Moore had three hits and two RBIs for the Knights, who fell to 28-20 and 7-11 in conference play.
