American Profiles will give you a personal look at some of your favorite players throughout the year
Isaiah Avery Jones grew up in Dallas, Texas and is a Junior Communications major. A personable, charismatic and gifted performer, Isaiah should be a primary contender for conference and national honors consideration as a junior. He has already been named a First-Team Preseason All-American Athletic Conference selection by Athlon Sports, Phil Steele Magazine and Sporting News as well as being selected to the 2015 Paul Hornung Award and Fred Biletnikoff Watch Lists. On top of his accolades on the field, Jones earned ECU Honor Roll in the Fall of 2013 and Dean's List every semester since Spring 2014 for his work in the classroom.

Isaiah is not the first in his family to wear the purple and gold proudly, as his dad Robert Jones is a former Pirate letterman (1988-91), who remains the only consensus (AP, Scripps-Howard, Football News, Walter Camp, Kodak, College Football Writers Association,College & Pro Football Newsweekly) All-America performer (1991) in the history of the ECU program. His uncle, Jeff Blake, was quarterback on the 1991 East Carolina team and had an extended career in the NFL.
Off the field Isaiah enjoys acting and dancing and served as co-master of ceremonies for the 2015 ECU Goldspy's (an annual awards presentation and ceremony emulating the ESPY's).
