Highlights

Olivia Chance scored the game-winning goal for USF in double overtime, as the Bulls advanced past Baylor, 2-1, in Waco, Texas. Cristina Ferral scored the first goal for USF in the 62nd minute, before assisting Chance's goal in the 102nd minute. The Bulls' defense, led by seniors Jackie Simpson and Allie Rossi, allowed the Bears just one shot during overtime.

Temple defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 3-0 at Ambler Soccer Field, to give the American Athletic Conference the first win of the regular season. Seniors Kelly Farrell and Paula Jurewicz, as well as sophomore Elana Falcone, each tallied one goal for the Owls in the win. 

- Junior Rachel Hill led UConn, The American preseason favorite, with two goals in a 4-1 win over Colgate. Midfielders Danielle Gottwik and Maddie Damm each added one goal for the Huskies in their win at Morrone Stadium. UConn goalkeeper Emily Armstrong recorded five saves and notched her first win of the season.

East Carolina recorded a 2-0 home victory against George Mason in front of a record crowd of 884 fans at Johnson Soccer Stadium. Senior forward Kendall Frey scored the Pirates’ first goal at 20:33, assisted by junior Lana Spitler, who netted the team’s other goal in the second half. 

- A combination of smothering defense and a lone goal by freshman Elizabeth Woerner in the 22nd minute led Memphis to beat SEC opponent Alabama, 1-0 at Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The game marked the Tigers' sixth consecutive win over the Crimson Tide.

- Cincinnati suffered a tough loss to No. 21/12 DePaul at Gettler Stadium. After falling behind 0-1 in the first half, the Bearcats tied the game 1-1 when sophomore Julie Gavorski scored at 48:02. The Blue Demons scored in the final minute to narrowly escape heading into overtime, recording a 2-1 victory over Cincinnati.
