American Profiles will give you a personal look at some of your favorite players throughout the year
Senior Adrian McDonald starts the 2015 season after being a first-team all-conference selection last year. McDonald had a hand in eight turnovers for the Coogs including five interceptions and three fumble recoveries. He was also third in the league with five interceptions and fourth in league with three fumble recoveries, on top of finishing third on the Coogs with 75 tackles.
McDonald is looking to lead a secondary that returns all four starters from last year. Defense has been big for Houston the last few years and in 2013 the Coogs led the nation in takeaways and was 11th nationally last season with 30 turnovers gained.
McDonald has made a big switch to the secondary after playing many positions in high school and starring as a dual-threat quarterback where he was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year. McDonald says "Over my years I wanted to keep going, keep getting better, put some good stuff on film". We are looking forward to seeing McDonald lead the Coogs in his senior season.
