Tuesday Women's Soccer Recap: Temple notches fourth straight victory

Temple was the only American Athletic Conference women's soccer team to compete on Tuesday, as the team hosted Rider at Ambler Field. The Owls recorded their fourth consecutive non-conference win, and remain undefeated in their 2015 campaign as they topped the Broncs 2-1.

Highlights

- Senior Kelly Farrell gave Temple a 1-0 advantage in the 40th minute of the match, on an assist by sophomore Elana Falcone. Farrell has now registered four goals on the season, and is tied for first in the conference for goals (4) and tied for second in the league for points (9).

- Midfielder Gina DiTaranto notched a goal in the 77th minute to help boost the Owls to their 2-1 victory and remain undefeated this season. The redshirt junior's first goal of 2015 was assisted by Farrell.

- Temple ranks highly in multiple categories of the current NCAA national statistical rankings. The team is first in won-loss-tied percentage (1.000) and ranks seventh in the nation for total goals with 14 on the season. The Owls also place 10th in the country in scoring offense (3.50 goals per game) and 16th in shutout percentage (0.750)
