No. 1 UConn captured its 52nd consecutive win with a victory against Memphis, 86-46, on Wednesday at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Moriah Jefferson matched her season high with 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Breanna Stewart produced 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks while Katie Lou Samuelson chipped in 11 points and five assists. Ariel Hearn and Mooriah Rowser led the Tigers with 12 points while Asianna Fuqua-Bey and Loysha Morris grabbed a team-high five rebounds apiece.
No. 19/16 USF 71, Tulane 67
No. 19/16 USF held on to defeat Tulane, 71-67, at the Avron B. Fogelman Arena on Wednesday evening. Shalethia Stringfield knocked down the go-ahead jumper (69-67) with three seconds remaining in regulation. Laura Ferreira came up with a big-time steal a second later, and converted a pair of free throws to secure the win for the Bulls. Courtney Williams posted a game-high 31 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Kitija Laksa finished with 17 points. Leslie Vorpahl had a career-high 26 points with a personal best six 3-pointers for the Green Wave. Kolby Morgan recorded 12 points and Tierra Jones grabbed seven rebounds.
Cincinnati 55, Tulsa 53
Cincinnati earned its second road conference win of the season with a 55-53 victory over Tulsa on Wednesday evening at the Reynolds Center. Jasmine Whitfield paced the Bearcats with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Alyesha Lovett produced 15 points and seven rebounds while Ana Owens registered 13 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Ashley Clark had a team-high 15 points for the Golden Hurricane Kelsee Grovey chipped in 10 points, while Clark and Te’era Williams secured seven rebounds each.
Temple 71, UCF 63
Temple survived a late run from UCF to secure the 71-63 win at the CFE Arena on Wednesday. Four players reached double figures from the Owls, led by Feyonda Fitzgerald with 16 points. Alliya Butts recorded 11 points and three steals, while Tanaya Atkinson and Donnaizha Fountain each scored 10 points. Zykira Lewis led the Knights with a game-high 16 points while Joslyn Massey produced her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
