Breanna Stewart led No. 1 UConn in a 104-49 win against Temple on Saturday evening at Gampel Pavilion. In 21 minutes of action, Stewart produced 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Katie Lou Samuelson scored a career-high 21 points with five 3-pointers and six assists. The Huskies shot 54.7-percent from the field and made a season-high 13 3-pointers. Alliya Butts led the Owls with 12 points and six assists while Khadijah Berger added 11 points.
UCF 80, Cincinnati 60
UCF earned its first conference win of the season with an 80-60 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon inside Fifth Third Arena. Zykira Lewis led three Knights in double figures with a game-high 21 points. Aliyah Gregory scored 14 points while Nyala Shuler recorded 12 points and seven rebounds. Alyesha Lovett paced the Bearcats with 17 points while Ana Owens (14 points) and Bianca Quisenberry (13 points) reached double figures.
SMU 58, Memphis 49
Alicia Froling powered SMU to 58-49 win against Memphis on Saturday at Moody Coliseum. Froling posted her seventh double-double of the season with 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Morgan Bolton scored 11 points while Gabrielle Wilkins and McKenzie Adams each scored 10 points. Mooriah Rowser led the Tigers with 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Ariel Hearn added 12 points and six rebounds.
Tulane 71, Tulsa 47
Eleven of 12 Green Wave players scored points in the win against Tulsa, 71-47, on Saturday afternoon inside the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tierra Jones led Tulane with 13 points and eight rebounds. Leslie Vorpahl registered 12 points and handed out five assists while Taylor Emery finished with 10 points and five steals. Tyjae’ Scales made her first career start for the Golden Hurricane and led the team with a season-high nine points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Clark, Ashley Hughes and Tatyana Perez each scored eight points.
