Cincinnati Tops Tulane 97-75, as Mick Cronin Records 200th Win

CINCINNATI (AP) — Shaq Thomas and Gary Clark scored 17 points each and Cincinnati cruised by Tulane 97-75 on Sunday to give coach Mick Cronin his 200th victory with the Bearcats.

Cronin is 200-124 in 10 seasons at Cincinnati, second only to Bob Huggins (399).

Farad Cobb added 16 points and Troy Caupain handed out nine assists for the Bearcats (15-6, 5-3 American), who shot 56.5 percent, including 11 of 21 from 3-point range.

The Bearcats turned 19 Tulane turnovers into 27 points and outscored the Green Wave 40-20 in the paint. Cincinnati led from the opening minute and had a 22-point lead only six minutes into the game after a 16-0 run. The Bearcats led 49-27 at halftime and were up by 80-40 with just under 10 minutes left.

Malik Morgan made five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 23 points for the Green Wave (8-13, 1-7), who have lost three straight.
