SMU 64, Texas State 56
Travis Mays recorded his first career win as a head coach as the Mustangs of SMU defeated the Bobcats of Texas State 64-56. Alicia Froling recordied 15 rebounds and 15 points for her first double-double of the season. Dai'ja Thomas also had a double-double as she came in off the bench to record 11 rebounds and 10 points.

UCF 69, FIU 52
Katie Abrahamson-Henderson picked up her first win as the head coach at UCF as the Knights defeated FIU 69-52 on the road. UCF out rebounded FIU 52-15, pulling down 30 offensive rebounds in the game. Joslyn Massey recorded all 11 of her rebounds off the offensive glass and also recorded 11 points for the Knights.

East Carolina 107, Greensboro College 40
Six Pirates' players scored in double figures as East Carolina defeated Greensboro 107-40. Bre McDonald scored the teams first double-double of the season as she had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Kristen Gaffney recorded a career high 23 points and seven steals in the game. Antoinette Banister also had a career high as she had 18 points and made 6-7 from three-point range.

RV/RVTemple 86, Saint Joseph's 70
The Owls snapped a four game losing streak against Saint Joseph's as Temple topped the Hawks on the road 86-70 to open the season. Four players scored in double digits in the win. Temple juniors Tanaya Atkinson and Donnaizha Fountain topped the team in scoring and rebounding, with Atkinson finishing with 24 points and seven boards, while Fountain ended her night with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Cincinnati 83, Southeast Missouri 75
Cincinnati picked up its first win of the season at Southeast Missouri defeating the Redhawks 83-75. The Bearcats out rebounded SEMO 50-43 as they grabbed 31 offensive rebounds which it turned into 27 second-chance points. Shanice Johnson had 32 points and 13 rebounds while Ana Owens scored 25 points and recorded 4 rebounds in the game

Memphis 69, Missouri State 60
Memphis opened the season with a 69-60 win over Missouri State. Taylor Williams finished with a career-high 17 points by going 7-for-8 and 3-for-3 from three-point range. Cheyenne Creighton scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the game.

Tulsa 80, UMKC 70
Tulsa picked up its first win in a season opener since 2009-2010 season as the Golden Hurricane defeated UMKC 80-70. Three Tulsa women's basketball players scored in double figures as Erika Wakefield had a team-leading 21 points.  Liesl Spoerl added a career-high 17 points and a team-best eight rebounds while Kendrian Elliott scored 11 points in her debut.
