PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the 11th week of the 2016 college football season.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quinton Flowers • Jr. • QB • USF • Miami, Fla.
Flowers broke his own American Athletic Conference record for rushing yards by a quarterback and became the first player in conference history both rush and pass for 200 yards in the same game to lead USF to a 49-42 win at Memphis, lifting the Bulls into a tie for first place in the East Division standings. Flowers rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns and completed 24 of 29 passes for 263 yards and two TDs to finish with a school-record 473 yards of total offense.

Horace Richardson • Sr. • CB • SMU • Everman, Texas
Richardson led an SMU defense that forced five turnovers in the Mustangs’ 55-31 win at East Carolina as he had two interceptions and returned both for touchdowns. Richardson set an American Athletic Conference record with 150 yards on interception returns as he scored on returns of 70 and 80 yards. Richardson is the American Athletic Conference leader with six interceptions in 2016.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dane Roy • Fr. • P • Houston • Bunyip, Australia
Roy punted 11 times and averaged 44.2 yards per punt to dictate field position in Houston’s 30-18 win against Tulane. He placed six of his punts inside the 20-yard line, two inside the 10, and had a long punt of 53 yards. He punted four times in the fourth quarter, resulting in an average starting field position of the Tulane 12-yard line.

Had a game-high 11 tackles, including 3.0 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss, in a 30-18 win against Tulane.
Will Worth • Sr. • QB • Navy • Valrico, Fla.
Rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 111 yards and a TD in a a 42-40 win against Tulsa.
Courtland Sutton • So. • WR • SMU • Brenham, Texas
Had career highs with 12 receptions for 166 yards with two touchdowns in a 55-31 win at East Carolina.
Dane Evans • Sr. • QB • Tulsa • Sanger, Texas
Threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns, rushed for a touchdown, and became the school’s career passing leader in a 42-40 loss at Navy.
