Highlights

• Napheesa Collier had a game-high 28 points and led three Huskies in double figure scoring as No. 3/1 UConn defeated No. 12/12 Florida State, 78-76, Monday evening in the season opener for both teams. The Huskies extended its winning streak to 76 games, which is the third-longest streak in college basketball history.

• Feyonda Fitzgerald led RV/RV Temple with 27 points, nine assists and a career-high tying nine rebounds in the Owls' 86-70 win over crosstown rival La Salle. Tanaya Atkinson recorded her second-straight 20-point effort while Alliya Butts scored 17 and added her 1,000th career-point in the process.
