PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 20.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Lou Samuelson • So. • G/F • UConn
Samuelson averaged 19.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 52.2-percent (12-of-23) from 3-point range in a 3-0 week for UConn, which included wins over a pair of Top 12 opponents in Florida State (No. 12) and Baylor (No. 2). The sophomore was nearly perfect from the charity stripe and made 92-percent (12-of-13) of her shots last week. She put together the best game of her career on Sunday in a 76-53 win at LSU after scoring a career-high 28 points to go along with seven 3-pointers and a career-best eight rebounds.

Crystal Dangerfield • Fr. • G • UConn
Dangerfield averaged 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 52-percent (13-of-25) from the floor, including 5-10 from 3-point range, in a 3-0 week for UConn. The rookie led the Huskies with 19 points and added four rebounds and five assists in Thursday’s 72-61 win over No. 2/4 Baylor. She was 8-of-14 from the floor against the Lady Bears and made three of her five attempts from long-range. Dangerfield followed that up with a 10-point, three-rebound game in the win at LSU on Sunday.
