American Conference/ Ben Solomon Women's Basketball 11.09.16 Tickets for 2017 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship Go On Sale Friday Follow @American_WBB CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL PROVIDENCE, R.I. – All-session ticket packages for the 2017 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship will go on sale Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. ET. The championship will take place March 3-6, 2017, and will be played at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, for the fourth straight season. All-session tickets, which include admission to all four days of competition – a total of 10 games – will be available for $99 each, nearly one-third of the face value of individual session tickets. Tickets may be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office daily between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and will be available through the ticket offices of all 11 American Athletic Conference institutions. Tickets may also be purchased online, at www.MoheganSun.com or www.Ticketmaster.com, or by telephone at (800) 745-3000. Information on discounts for groups of 10 or more people is available through the Connecticut Sun Group Sales Department at (860) 862-4000. All 11 American Athletic Conference teams will compete in the 2017 championship, including two teams that reached the 2016 NCAA Championship and five that played in the postseason. UConn won its third straight American Athletic Conference title last year on its way to its 11th NCAA crown, while USF also reached the NCAA field. Memphis, Temple and Tulane all played in the WNIT. In addition to hosting The American Women’s Basketball Championship, Mohegan Sun Arena is home to the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun. The 10,000-seat arena has hosted championship boxing, college and professional men’s and women’s basketball, Davis Cup tennis, professional bull-riding and professional bowling. The WNBA All-Star Game has been played at Mohegan Sun Arena four times and the WNBA Draft has been held at the arena three times.
