12 Plays of Christmas: Dane "Déjà vu" Evans

Editor's Note: Heading into the Holiday Season and the end of 2016 we thought it would be nice to look back at some of the best plays from the past year. We scoured through lots of video footage and came up with our "12 Plays of Christmas". Every day we will reveal a new play that we consider to be one of our best from the year. The list will end on Christmas Day.

Day One - Dane "Déjà vu" Evans

Not many college football players can say they have scored a game-winning touchdown in their career. In the 2016 season, Tulsa quarterback Dane Evans produced two game-winning touchdowns...in back-to-back weeks...both in overtime...and on the same play!

The first game-winner came in the second overtime of a 31-point comeback win against Fresno State, 48-41. Evans kept the ball and barreled his way into the end zone from 18 yards out to seal the victory for Tulsa. The following weekend, the senior quarterback called the same read-option play and went untouched up the middle for a 14-yard score to clinch the 43-30 overtime win against SMU.

Tulsa finished the regular season 9-3 and will face Central Michigan in the 2016 Miami Beach Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
