Houston Cougars put together one of the best seasons in the conference's history during 2015. The Cougar's finished with a school record 13 wins, claimed the inaugural American Athletic Conference Football Championship and earned a spot in a New Year's Six bowl game.
Houston entered the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl as an underdog to No. 8 Florida State. The Cougars defied the expectations as their defense produced five turnovers en route to a 38-24 victory against the Seminoles.
