PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 4.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Napheesa Collier • So. • F • UConn
Collier averaged 21.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 77-percent (30-of-39) from the floor during a perfect 3-0 week for No. 2/2 UConn, which included wins over two Top 15 teams. The sophomore started the week with a 23-point effort in the Huskies’ win over Chattanooga on November 29. She followed that with an 18-point, five-rebound, four-steal performance in Thursday’s win over No. 15/14 DePaul. Collier finished the week with a game-high 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting in Sunday’s win over No. 14/15 Texas in the Jimmy V Classic.

Jasmyne Harris • Fr. • G • Houston
Harris paced Houston to a 2-0 week and averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game on 64-percent (7-of-11 shooting). The rookie scored 14 of her career-high 17 points in the second half of Sunday’s 79-63 win over College of Charleston. Harris finished 3-of-4 from beyond the arc in the win over the CofC.
