PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has announced winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for games ending Feb. 21.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Birt led Tulsa in scoring as the Hurricane defeated Cincinnati and UCF last week. The junior averaged 19.5 points per game and shot 46-percent from 3-point range. He scored a game-high 26 points on the road at UCF on Sunday. Tulsa moved to 10-5 in league play with the pair of wins and into a third place tie in the American Athletic Conference standings.

Jahmal McMurray • Fr. • G • USF
McMurray helped lead USF to two wins last week by averaging 19.0 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. The rookie scored 21 on the road in a 69-52 win at East Carolina on Wednesday and finished the week with 17 points and five assists in an 80-71 win over Memphis on Sunday. McMurray scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half versus the Tigers.

Averaged 20.5 points and 8.0 rebounds for Temple in a 1-1 week, made 15-of-30 shots (.500) from the field and 9-of-14 (.640) from 3-point range
