PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s men’s and women’s weekly tennis honors for the week ending Feb. 28.

Nate Lammons • Sr. • SMU • The Woodlands, Texas
Lammons combined for a 6-0 record this week with three wins in both singles and doubles play. The senior guided the Mustangs to a 7-0 win over Eastern Washington and a 6-1 victory against George Washington on Saturday. Lammons earned wins at first flight singles and doubles against the Eagles, and registered victories in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles against the Colonials. The Woodlands, Texas, native began the week with a 6-4, 6-2, win in third singles and a 6-4 win in second doubles against Memphis on Thursday.

Miller posted a pair wins in No. 1 singles and added a victory in first flight doubles to lead the Bearcats in a 2-0 week. The product of Portsmouth, Ohio, defeated Valeriia Lavrenchuk, 6-2, 6-4, in a 7-0 win over the Jaguars on Friday. Miller also teamed with Lauren Bellinger to capture a 6-0 win in doubles action against IUPUI. The sophomore concluded the weekend with a 6-0, 4-6, 6-3, first-flight win over Bailey Padgett on Saturday in a 6-1 win against the Bulldogs. Miller is now 9-0 in singles play this season.
