Highlights

-  Brooke Lee drove home all of Memphis' runs with a two-run home run, while sophomore pitcher Molly Smith struck out 10 UConn batters, as the Tigers took the American Athletic Conference series over the Huskies with a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon.
 
- Memphis was led offensively by Lee, who drove in herself andLindsey Stickrod with a third-inning home run. Stickrod went a perfect 3-for-3, raising her batting average on the season to .324. The team's other three hits came from three different batters – Lindsay Crowdus, Tyler Johnson, and Calli Irvin.

- Smith, who shut out UConn in the series opener on Thursday, struck out a career-high 10 batters in the game, while not allowing an earned run for the fourth consecutive start. Over her last five starts she has given up just two earned runs, including two shutouts and at least eight strikeouts in four of those five contests.

- The Huskies' junior righty Kayla Doty (3-2) took the ball for her seventh start and was charged with the loss despite allowing just two runs on seven hits in 7.0 innings of work. 

- In the fifth, Alyssa Gardea singled to the pitcher and made her way around the bases on a throwing error for the final 2-1 tally.
- Freshman Ally Hernandez extended her team-best reached-base streak to nine-straight games.

-  Lee Ann Spivey hit her 32nd career home run and Kristen Wyckoff went 3-for-4 at the plate as the USF softball team beat East Carolina, 8-0, to sweep its first weekend of conference play. The Bulls have now won 21-straight games. 

- Spivey would finish the day going 4-for-4 at the plate, with two runs and two RBIs. Wyckoff added two runs and two RBIs for the Bulls. 

- Erica Nunn (15-5) picked up the win after throwing 4.2 scoreless innings, lowering her ERA to 2.00. The senior struck out five and gave up just four hits in her second start of the weekend. For the weekend, Nunn struck out 22 batters, allowing just seven hits and one run (unearned).

- East Carolina's senior shortstop Casey Alcorn and senior outfielder Nicole Cheek both tallied two-hit performances while senior catcher (hitting as the designated player) Kelsi Briggs drew a pair of walks. 

- Junior RHP Lydia Ritchie (11-6) threw her 10th complete game of the campaign for ECU, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits with five walks and five strikeouts. 

- Maddie Withee drove in four runs and Kaitlin Allen tallied three RBI to lead Tulsa to an 8-3 series-clinching win at Houston Saturday afternoon at Cougar Softball Stadium. Withee launched a three-run home run in the third inning to break a 2-2 tie.

- Senior Caitlin Sill (13-1) pitched 4.0 innings, allowing three runs on five hits, and earned her 13thvictory of the season. Sophomore Emily Watson tossed the final three frames, retiring all nine batters she faced, with four strikeouts, to pick up her second save of the year.

- Houston senior Katie St. Pierre extended her reached base streak to 31 straight games dating back to last season. She went 2-for-3 against the Golden Hurricane pitching duo with an RBI.
- Freshman Breelyn Thames hit her first collegiate home run on a solo shot to centerfield during the bottom of the fourth.
