All eight American Athletic Conference teams are in action Tuesday as they prepare for the first weekend of conference play.
Tuesday's ledger is highlighted by two matchups between nationally ranked teams. No. 15 Houston will host Texas A&M, which took over as the new No. 1 team in the consensus national rankings, in a game that will be played in front of a standing-room-only crowd at Houston's Schroeder Park. The Cougars have won three of their last four against the Aggies, but dropped last year's meeting.
No. 27 Tulane takes to the road to face No. 14 LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Green Wave, which has won its last five games, dropped a pair of meetings to the Tigers last season and played three games in the NCAA Baton Rouge regional
No. 19 East Carolina will take on a UNC Wilmington squad that is receiving consideration in the national polls. The Pirates feature The American's top-hitting team in 2016 as East Carolina enters the game with a team batting average of .306.
UCF takes a three-game winning streak into Tuesday's matchup at Jacksonville. The Knights have hit 20 home runs this season, which is second only to Tulane's 23 among American Athletic Conference teams.
USF will host Stetson in the second of three midweek meetings between the Bulls and Hatters this season. USF was a 3-2 winner in DeLand, Florida, March 15.
UConn looks to remain above .500 for the season as the Huskies visit Boston College. The game will be the 118th matchup between the two New England rivals since 1909.
Cincinnati saw its 10-game winning streak snapped in its series finale against Xavier Sunday, but the Bearcats look to get another streak started with Tuesday's game at Indiana. Cincinnati has gone 10-0 at home this season, but looks for its second road win of 2016.
Memphis plays the first of two midweek home games as the Tigers host Arkansas State Tuesday at FedEx Park. Memphis will take on No. 11 Mississippi Wednesday at AutoZone Park.
