Tulane's Stephen Alemais

Headed into his junior season, Tulane infielder Stephen Alemais was named to the American Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference Team. In a successful sophomore season Alemais appeared in all 60 games and batted .312 with 43 runs, 78 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, and a home run. He led the Green Wave in five statistical categories and was named to The American All-Second Team.

Just this week Alemais was recognized yet again, but this time on ESPN. During a solid 7-1 win at No. 14 LSU, Alemais orchestrated a double play that made the top spot on Sportcenter’s Top Ten. In the play, Alemais gloved a bouncer up the middle and as his momentum carried him to the ground he delivered a no-look flip to teammate Jake Willsey on second base, who turned and fired to first to complete the 6-4-3 double play.
