Cincinnati sits alone atop the standings at 4-2 in conference play after the Bearcats took two of three in each of their first two league series. Cincinnati's midweek ledger sends the Bearcats to Oxford, Ohio, for the Joe Nuxhall Classic. The Bearcats, who last won that event in 2014, will face Wright State Tuesday and will take on either Miami (Ohio) or Xavier Wednesday.
Tulane sits a half-game behind Cincinnati after the Green Wave took two of three from East Carolina last weekend. Tulane will play its fourth straight game against a nationally ranked opponent Tuesday as the Green Wave visits No. 22 Louisiana.
Houston and UCF played three one-run games last weekend as the Cougars emerged with the series win after a 1-0 victory in the rubber match. The Cougars have won two straight heading into a Tuesday neutral-site matchup against Texas in Sugar Land ,Texas.
UCF looks to bounce back from the two one-run setbacks to Houston with a Wednesday-night matchup at top-ranked Miami (Fla.). The Knights and Hurricanes met March 16 in Orlando, when Miami was a 5-2 winner.
East Carolina came away with a Sunday win against Tulane to avoid a series sweep. The Pirates play the fifth game in an eight-game road stretch with Tuesday's visit to UNC Wilmington. East Carolina took a 9-6 win against the Seahawks March 29 in Greenville.
Memphis scored a series win against USF last weekend as the Tigers look to take that momentum into a pair of midweek games. Memphis hosts Austin Peay Tuesday before visiting No. 2 Mississippi State Wednesday.
UConn has a pair of home midweek contests against New England opponents as the Huskies take on Fairfield Tuesday and host Bryant Wednesday.
USF completes a four-game homestand with a Tuesday-night matchup against North Florida. The Bulls dropped a 7-6 decision to the Ospreys March 16 in Jacksonville.
