The American Today: All Eight Teams In Midweek Action Tuesday

All eight American Athletic Conference teams are in action on a busy Tuesday that features three games against nationally ranked opponents.

East Carolina, which scored a series win at Memphis last weekend, has won its last three midweek games against schools from North Carolina. The Pirates look to make it four straight as they host No. 8 North Carolina State at Clark-LeClair Stadium. The game will be televised live on CBS Sports Network. East Carolina will visit High Point Wednesday.

Tulane has dropped its last two midweek contests since a win at LSU at the end of March. The Green Wave looks to bounce back as No. 19 Southern Miss heads to Turchin Stadium.

Memphis hopes to ride the momentum from a walkoff win against East Carolina in Sunday's series finale as the Tigers host No. 15 Mississippi at AutoZone Park. Memphis fell 9-7 to the Rebels March 2 in Oxford, Mississippi, but looks to even the season series.

UConn enters the week as the hottest team in The American as the Huskies take a six-game winning streak into road games at Massachusetts (Tuesday) and UMass Lowell (Wednesday).

Cincinnati has won all three of its American Athletic Conference series thus far, but the Bearcats look to snap a four-game slide in midweek games with Tuesday's matchup at Ohio State.

UCF, which won the last two games of its series against USF, goes for a third straight win as the Knights visit North Florida. UCF was a 5-4 winner against the Ospreys Feb. 24 in Orlando.

USF looks to even its season series against Bethune-Cookman as the schools meet in Tampa Tuesday. USF was on the short end of a 10-3 decision March 1 in Daytona Beach.

Houston looks to bounce back from a three-game slide as the Cougars host Texas A&M Corpus Christi at Schroeder Park. Houston has gone 15-5 at its home facility this season.
