PROVIDENCE, R.I. – East Carolina senior Al Dickens was named the American Men's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday after winning the East Carolina Intercollegiate and leading the Pirates to the team title.
Dickens earned his first career tournament win on Tuesday after carding a 216 (72-70-74) over the three-day event, two shots ahead of second place finisher Austin Schultz of Florida Gulf Coast. The senior entered the final round with a two-shot lead and led by just one stroke heading onto the 18
th tee. A birdie on the final hole sealed the win for Dickens as he claimed medalist honors in a field of 80. As a team, the Pirates won the event by 23 strokes.

- Cincinnati next competes in the Hoosier Invitational Apr. 9-10 in Bloomington, Indiana.

- The Pirates led wire-to-wire en route to winning the East Carolina Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Brook Valley Country Club…East Carolina finished with a 16-over 880 during windy and cold conditions.
- The Pirates return to action Apr. 9-10 at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Kannapolis, N.C.
- Houston
- Senior Vincent Martino (215: 69-74-72) and sophomore Michael Perras (215: 73-73-69) each posted Top 20 finishes at the 3M Augusta Invitational on Sunday…Houston tied for seventh overall as a team with a 4-over 868.
- The Cougars will close out the regular season at The Maxwell Intercollegiate on Apr. 16-17.
- Memphis
- Memphis carded Top 5 finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship Apr. 2-3 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club…Thomas Perrot led the Tigers with a 214 (73-71-70) and tied for 10th overall.
- Memphis is back in action Apr. 16-17 at The Maxwell Intercollegiate in Ardmore, Okla.

- USF placed fifth at the 3M Augusta Invitational Apr. 2-3 at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia…Claudio Correa, Aksel Olsen and Jeffrey Meltzer each posted Top 25 finishes.
- The Bulls wrap up regular season play Apr.16-17 at the Wolfpack Spring Open in Raleigh, N.C.

- Ryan Burgess recorded his second Top 20 finish of the season during action at the Mason Rudolph Championship Apr. 2-3…The senior carded a three-round score of 219 (76-69-74)…SMU finished ninth as a team.
