Highlights

- No. 25/23 USF scored a single run in the third inning which lifted the team to a 1-0 win over UConn on Saturday afternoon. 

- In conference play, the Bulls are batting .325 as a team and outscoring opponents 44-13. The pitching staff holds a 1.15 team ERA, holding opponents to a .210 batting average.

- Juli Weber scored the lone run of the game on a sacrifice fly from Lee Ann Spivey, after reaching base on a one-out double into center field. Weber finished the day 2-for-3, with two doubles and a run scored.

- Erica Nunn threw her second complete game of the series and her third of the week, picking up her 19thwin of the season. Nunn struck out 11 batters and gave up two walks. In conference play, she has a 5-1 record, a .50 ERA and is holding opponents to a .195 average.

- UConn tallied seven hits, led by Jacklyn Dubois and Lexi Gifford who each had two hits on the day for the Huskies.

- UConn's freshman righty Jill Stockley (4-9) recorded the loss after 6.0 innings of work with five hits, one run and a pair of strikeouts.

- A two-out, sixth-inning rally lifted RV/NR UCF to a 4-1 victory over RV/RV Tulsa at the UCF Softball Complex on Saturday afternoon.

- Junior Linnea Goodman and redshirt juniorJasmine Acevedo each had two hits for the Knights, while freshman Cassady Brewer drove in a pair of runs. The Knights drew seven walks, with Brewer and sophomore Courtney Rotton each earning a pair.

- Senior pitcher Shelby Turnier collected her 13th win of the season, striking out two and allowing no hits in 2.0 innings in the circle. Jamie Ujvari threw 5.0 innings, striking out five while giving up two walks and one earned run on four hits.

- Tulsa totaled four hits – one each by Estocado, Maggie Withee, Catherine Horner and Julia Hollingsworth in the ballgame. Estocado's RBI single plated Withee in the top of the sixth to tie the score at 1-1.

- Senior Caitlin Sill (15-2) took just her second loss of the season after allowing four unearned runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings.

-  With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and East Carolina trailing Memphis by one run, junior outfielder Ciara Ervin hit a two-run home run to center field to give the Pirates an 8-7 victory over the Tigers on Saturday afternoon at the ECU Softball Stadium.

- A quartet of Pirates recorded two hits apiece in the contest while Ervin and senior third baseman Kelsi Briggs notched a pair of RBIs. Sloan Bradford, Casey Alcorn, Nicole Cheek and Ali Ramirez each recorded an RBI for ECU.

- Freshman RHP Mary Williams earned the win in relief, throwing the final 5.2 innings and surrendering six runs (three earned) on six hits. She walked seven batters and struck out five.

- Memphis' Brooke Lee had a team-high two hits, going 2-for-4 at the plate, while also driving in a team-best two runs. The TIgers' remaining five hits came from five different batters – Brittany Seale, Lindsey Stickrod, Regan Hadley, Hannah Harrell, and Tyler Johnson. 

- The Tigers drew a school-record 11 walks and scored in four of seven innings. Lindsay Crowdus scored a team-high two runs, while Jessie Lamb, Breana Valenzuela, Hadley, Lee, and Johnson each scored once. 

- Molly Smith (7-9) took the loss after giving up the tying and winning runs in just 0.2 innings of work. She allowed a hit to go along with a walk and a strikeout. 

- Houston dropped both games of the Saturday doubleheader to No. 17/18 Arizona.

- Senior Katie St. Pierre extended her reached base streak to 40 games with a lead-off base hit into left field to open the first game and a walk during her second plate appearance in game two.

- In the top of the third inning in the first game, freshman Brooke Vannoy hit her sixth home run of the season to give Houston two runs and cut the Wildcats' lead down to 6-2.

- In game two Shelby Miller went 2-for-3 at the plate with a RBI. Courtney Klingler went 2-for-3 and scored a run. Vannoy added another RBI in game two to lead the team with three on the day.
