PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the week-ending May 22.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Williams-Sutton hit a league-leading .615 (8-for-13) and slugged 1.154 as East Carolina registered a three-game sweep at UCF to finish in second place in the final American Athletic Conference regular-season standings. Four of his eight hits went for extra bases as he had two doubles, a triple and a home run in the three games. He went 3-for-5 in the first game, 1-for-4 with a two-run triple in the second, and 4-for-4 with a double in Game 3. Williams-Sutton finished the regular season as the American Athletic Conference leader in batting (.372) and slugging (.601).

Boyd delivered a series-clinching win against UCF as he pitched seven innings and allowed one unearned run on five hits with seven strikeouts without a walk. He picked up his eighth quality start of the season and struck out at least one batter in five of the seven innings to help the Pirates to a second-place finish in the conference standings. Boyd takes a 7-4 record and a 2.32 earned-run average into the postseason.
