Fifty-two Student Athletes, 12 teams earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Fifty-two student-athletes from the American Athletic Conference received U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTACCCA) All-Academic honors for the 2015 season, as announced on Thursday. The American also had four men’s and eight women’s teams earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors.

In total, there were 570 men and 910 women who were named USTFCCCA All-Academics. In order for a student-athlete to qualify for the honor the student-athlete must have a 3.25 GPA. For indoor season the student athlete must also have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 of an individual event or in the national top 48 in a relay event. For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championship.

Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulane and Tulsa took home USTFCCCA All-Academic honors on the men’s side. Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, Memphis, SMU, USF, Tulane and Tulsa won honors for the women’s teams.
