Around the League
· All 11 teams are in action in non-conference play this weekend
· Five teams (UCF, Memphis, SMU, Temple, and Tulsa) open up their 2016 seasons on their home courts, hosting preseason tournaments.
· Preseason conference favorite Cincinnati begins play at the University of Tennessee where the Bearcats will play the Volunteers, Middle Tennessee and Louisiana-Monroe.
· Defending champion SMU begins its quest to repeat with a three game tournament against Montana, UTSA and Little Rock.
· UCF is the only team to play a ranked team in the AVCA Top-25 Poll. The Knights play host to No. 17 Florida State on Saturday, Aug. 27.
