Highlights
 
- Cincinnati continued its season at the Kentucky Invitational and brought home one first-place finish as Adrian Valles won the pole vault. Valles cleared 5.43m to take home gold and post the second-best mark in school history. Sergio Acera also finished on the podium in the long jump for the Bearcats with a second-place finish of 7.35m. On the women’s side, Bryana Robinson set a Cincinnati school record in the 400m dash with a time of 53.70, which was third in the event.
 
- UCF started its 2017 indoor season with ten top-three finishes at the UAB Blazer Invite. J’Nea Bellamy won the 60m dash with a time of 7.47. Senior Ashley Jocelyn finished second in the 300m with a time of 38.72. In the mile run, the Knights finished second and third with Marissa Codispodi and Tori Jung finishing in 5:07.55 and 5:08.01, respectively. In the 600m, Rosie Chamberlain finished second with a time of 1:29.57. The Knights also took home third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:53.63. In the field events, Chelsea Gobourne (19.84m) and Tayla Greene (18.66m) finished second and third in the weight throw and Jhane’ Carter (15.10m)  finished second in the shot put.
 
- UConn’s men’s team started its season at the Great Dane Classic and came away with a first-place team finish. Ben De Venizia (1:54.14) won the 800m  and Alvaro Chavez (1:54.72) finished third, Stedman Cook (6.92) finished third in the 60m, Peter Garmon (2:28.62) took home third in the 1000m, and Christopher Heydrick (4:09.88) finished second in the mile. In the 3000m, the Huskies finished second and third with runs from Michael O’Donnell (8:22.10) and Eric Van Der Els (8:22.78) and Patrick Bagley won the 5000m with a time of 14:39.46. In the field events, Hunter Craig won the pole vault, clearing 4.95m, and Malik Snead finished third in the triple jump (15.19m).
 
- UConn’s women’s team was at the Nittany Lion Challenge and brought home five top-three finishes. Taylor Anderson (7.48) took home second in the 60m, Kat Surin (24.77) took home second in the 200m and Kelsey Swanson (9:42.85) finished second in the 3000m. The Huskies also took home third in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:47.99. UConn’s only top-three finish in field events came from Taylor Woods, who finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.65m.
 
- East Carolina competed in the Carolina Cup and earned two first-place victories in the meet. Mohogany Baker won the women’s weight throw with a distance of 15.89m and D’Ante Yarborough won the men’s 60m hurdles with a time of 8.19. On the women’s side, Courtney Wagner (7.55) finished third in the 60m, Jasmine Dawson (25.08) took home third in the 200m and Alyssa Sandy also took home third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.83. The Pirates finished third in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:00.57. In the field events, Jada Cunningham (11.73m) finished second in the triple jump and Galissia Cause finished third in the shot put with a distance of 13.99m. Jordan Martin (22.55) finished second in the men’s 200m, Stefano Migliorati (1:54.63) and Pol Solanelles (1:55.31) came in second and third in the 800m and Nicholas Ciaccia (8:43.35) earned second in the 3000m. Vincent Ragland finished second behind Yarborough in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.27 and the Pirates finished second in the 4x400m relay. In the field competitions, Tyler Banks (13.55m) finished second in the triple jump, Adam Manns (16.65m) and Jalen Peterkin (16.12m) finished second and third in the shot put and Manns (16.82m) finished second in the weight throw.
 
- Houston won 10 events at the Leonard Hilton Invitational, the home opener for the Cougars and brought home 26 top-three finishes. Cameron Burrell won the 60m dash with a time of 6.66. John Isom (50.50) won the 400m and Nicholas Hamilton won the mile with a time of 4:24.32. Antwan Dickerson took home the long jump with a mark of 6.94m and Cameron Prejean won the triple jump with a distance of 14.05m. Junior Cameron Cornelius won the shot put with a mark of 18.02m. On the women’s side, Birexus Hawkins won the 200m with a time of 25.29 and Debra Taylor (2:27.85) took home first in the 800m. The women took home two first-place finishes in the field events with Haley Houston (3.65m) winning the pole vault and Tonyecia Burks winning the triple jump with a distance of 12.48m.
 
- USF began its 2017 season at the UAB Invite. Jessica Taylor won the 5000m run with a time of 17:21.81 and Stephanie Lambeth (3.80m) and Nicole Carroll (3.80m) finishes first and second in the pole vault. On the men’s side, Michael Babinec won the 5000m run with a time of 14:42.61 and the Bulls finished second in the distance medley. USF swept the pole vault as Joe Fogarasi (5.00m), David Bell (4.85m) and Cody Chernoff (4.70m) finished 1-2-3. Errol Ennis (14.08m) finished third in the triple jump and Bruce Robinson (17.11m) finished third in the weight throw.
 
- Temple picked up two first-place finishes at the Towson Invite to begin its 2017 season. Katie Leisher took home the top time in the 3000m run with a time of 10:02.70 and Crystal Jones won the high jump with a mark of 1.70m. Kenya Gaston (57.51) finished third in the 400m, Grace Moore (5:06.26) finished third in the mile and Bionca St. Fleur finished third in the long jump with a distance of 5.62m.
 
- Tulane took part in the UAB Vulcan Invite to begin its 2017 season and brought home eight top-three finishes. Jesssica Adamson (2:14.59) and Sara Cella (2:15.43) finished second and third in the 800m, and Mikayla Sonneborn (10:14.08) and Emma Newton (10:15.25) finished second and third in the 3000m. Brandi Hughes finished third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.74. The Green Wave earned three top-three finishes in the field events with Rebekah Markel  (3.80m) and Mary Caron Pitts (3.65m) finishing second and third in the pole vault as Taylor Potts finished third in the shot put with a distance of 14.91m.
 
- Tulsa started its 2017 season at the Arkansas Invitational with six top-three finishes. Aleks Rapp won the weight throw for the Golden Hurricane with a distance of 19.39m. Grey Howard (1:19.76) and Robert Tully (1:19.89) finished second and third in the 600m. On the women’s side, Allison Bailey (1:34.72) finished second in the 600m, Sabrina Monsees (2:55.99) finished second in the 1000m and the Golden Hurricane finished third in the 4x400m relay.
