PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eight teams return to the pitch for conference play, while UCF 8/9 closes its non-conference slate Sunday.
 
For the sixth straight week UCF 8/9 continues to climb in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25, moving up two spots to No. 8 in Tuesday’s poll. The Knights will travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU at 2 p.m. ET Sunday. The teams were originally scheduled to play on Sept. 8, but the match was postponed prior to Hurricane Irma making landfall in Florida.
 
UConn will take on SMU Thursday at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium and will meet Houston at Noon ET on Sunday. Thursday’s game vs. the Mustangs will be available live on the American Digital Network at 7 p.m. ET.
 
Cincinnati 21/18 has recorded a shutout in each league match through week two of conference action and return to conference play this weekend after a bye week. The Bearcats will welcome Tulsa and Memphis for a pair of home matches Thursday and Sunday at Gettler Stadium.
 
ECU will return to the pitch after its bye week of American Athletic Conference play and host Memphis Thursday for a 7 p.m. first touch then face Tulsa Sunday afternoon at Johnson Stadium.
 
Houston recorded its first two losses at home of the season last week vs. USF and UCF. The Coogs will head to the East coast for a pair of weekend matches against Temple on Oct. 12 and UConn on Oct. 15.  
 
Memphis will hit the road this weekend as they travel to compete against ECU Thursday evening before heading to Cincinnati 21/18 Sunday afternoon. The Tigers are coming off a 3-2 victory against UConn on Senior Day.
 
SMU will open its final road trip at Connecticut Thursday, a rematch of the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship game. The match can be seen on The American Digital Network at 7 p.m. ET. Following Thursday’s fixture, the Mustangs will head to Philadelphia Sunday and take on Temple.
 
Temple will return home for a league match vs. Houston Thursday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. ET start time and host its final home game of the season vs. SMU Sunday Oct. 15. The Owls lead the series 3-1-0 vs. Houston.
 
Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Cincinnati 21/18 for a start time set for 7 p.m. ET then travel to ECU to face the Pirates Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.
