PROVIDENCE, R.I. – ECU and SMU host meets, while Houston opens its 2017-18 season on the road.
Women’s Swimming and Diving
ECU swimming and diving will host William & Mary and Gardner-Webb Saturday in a tri-meet. The Pirates opened the 2017-18 season with a 117.5-182.5 loss at Navy.
Houston Swim and Dive will open its 2017-18 season Thursday at Incarnate Word in the UIW/Houston Dual meet. Events are slated to begin at 2 p.m. ET at the Ann Barshop Natatorium. The Coogs are fresh off a first-place finish at the North Texas Relays in exhibition. Houston leads the series 4-1 against Incarnate Word, last defeating the Cardinals on January 11, 2016 in a 200-96 decision.
SMU will host its 24
th annual SMU Classic at the Westside Aquatic Center in Lewisville, Texas, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET each evening. The SMU Classic features teams who finished in the NCAA top 10 the previous season, as well as those ranked in this year’s preseason Top 25. The Mustangs will welcome No. 9 Louisville, Miami, No. 6 Michigan, No. 21 UCLA and No. 7 USC as eight swimmers and one diver from each school will compete.

Coming off a 98.5-193.5 loss at Navy, ECU’s swimming and diving team will welcome William & Mary and Gardner-Webb Saturday in a tri-meet in Greenville, N.C.
