PROVIDENCE, R.I. – With three matches left in regular season action, eight teams return to the pitch this weekend. UCF 7/8, USF, Cincinnati 21/16 and Memphis have each clinched spots in the conference's six-team post-season championship.
 
UCF 7/8 holds a one-point advantage in the league standings heading into a three-game home stand to close the regular season. The Knights host UConn on Thursday, followed by a meeting with Temple on Sunday.
 
Cincinnati 21/16 is two points behind first-place in conference standings. The final two regular season away matches are up next for the Bearcats as they will pay a visit to the Lone Star state this week. First, Cincinnati 21/16 will face Houston in a Noon ET match on Thursday, Oct. 19, before heading to Dallas to face SMU on Sunday, Oct. 22, in a 2 p.m. ET match.
 
UConn returns to action this weekend and will travel to Florida to take on the top two teams in the American Athletic Conference. The Huskies play at first-place UCF 7/8 on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET and then take on USF on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
 
The Pirates are coming off its first league win vs. Tulsa Sunday. ECU will hit the road for the remaining three regular season matches beginning Thursday when the Pirates head to Dallas, to face SMU, followed by a match against Houston Sunday to round out this week’s slated games.
 
Houston will return home to close out its home slate at the Carl Lewis Complex with a Thursday afternoon (Noon ET) match against Cincinnati 21/16 and Sunday meeting with ECU for Senior Day.
 
After a week off from play, USF remains one-point behind first-place UCF 7/8 in conference standings. The Bulls will resume conference action this weekend. USF will return to the pitch for its last two matches at Corbett Stadium against Temple (Oct. 19) and UConn (Oct. 22).
 
With just three matches left, SMU remains in the hunt for a spot in The American Championship. After picking up three points at Temple, the Mustangs head into the weekend three points shy of the sixth and final spot. SMU will open its three-match home stand to cap the 2017 regular season. The Mustangs will begin the weekend with a contest against ECU at 8 p.m. ET Thursday. Following Thursday’s fixture, SMU will host Cincinnati 21/16 Sunday with a 2 p.m. ET kick off.
 
Temple will travel to Florida to take on USF Thursday night, Oct. 19, before heading to UCF 7/8 Sunday afternoon. With seven points, the Owls hold a three-point advantage in conference standings and sit sixth.
